Kananga,Leyte– Two local residents of this town are among the graduates of the Philippine National Police Academy(PNPA) Class ‘Layag-Diwa’ Class 2024 held at Camp Mariano Castañeda, in Silang Cavite, last April 19.
The two were Police Cadets Francis Paul Cabaltera and Ma. Teresa Dela Cruz.
Cabaltera is the son of retired Command Executive Senior Police Officer (CESPO) of the Ormoc City Police Office, Sergeant Frederick Cabaltera and Pamela Cabaltera, a school teacher at the Kananga Elementary School.
PCDT Cabaltera was a 3rd year college in Eastern Visayas State University in Tacloban City when he passed the entrance exam of the PNPA in 2020 and pursued his studies in the primary police college of this country.
He graduated his elementary studies at Kananga Central School and graduated from his school studies at Kananga National High School.
Dela Cruz, on the other hand, is a licensed criminologist who passed the board in 2019 and taught at the Sto Niño College of Ormoc where she graduated as cum laude.
She is the daughter of Marilou Dela Cruz, a self-employed woman.
The two graduates are set to report on Monday to Camp Crame for their official assignments in the Philippine National Police. (ROBERT DEJON)
