ORMOC CITY-Four persons were apprehended by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in a buy-bust operation that leads to the dismantling of an alleged drug den in Baybay City.
The operation, conducted in Purok Violeta of Barangay Zone 1 last Saturday at about 11:17 pm, resulted in the arrest of Jaime Morales, considered to be the owner of the alleged drug den and his co-maintainer Ruem Baclayon 34; Danilo Moreno, 37, and Alfredo Biterbo III, 31.
A 15-year old boy was also arrested by the PDEA who was immediately brought to the city social welfare and development office.
PDEA Regional Director Jacqueline De Guzman said that confiscated from the suspects were four sachets containing white crystalline substances suspected to be shabu weighing about 10.02 grams with an estimated market value of P67,500, and various drug paraphernalia.
The suspects will be facing violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, and are now detained at the Baybay City police office’ lock-up facility.(ROBERT DEJON)
