Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas, the powerhouse Senate slate backed by President Ferdinand “Bongbong” R. Marcos Jr., is banking on Leyte, a long-standing stronghold of the Marcos family, to deliver a decisive mandate that will reinforce its vision for stability and progress.

The Alyansa ticket is composed of former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, Senator Ramon Bong Revilla, Senator Pia Cayetano, former Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Senator Lito Lapid, Senator Imee Marcos, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Senator Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Representative and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo, and Deputy Speaker Camille Villar.

Alyansa recognizes Leyte’s historical and political significance, being the home province of former First Lady Imelda Marcos and a key base of support for the Marcos family.
The province has remained a bastion of loyalty, consistently delivering overwhelming votes for Marcos-led campaigns.

Navotas City Rep. Toby Tiangco, Alyansa’s campaign manager, underscored the coalition’s commitment to ensuring Leyte continues to reap the benefits of the Marcos administration’s development agenda.

“The Marcos legacy in Leyte is deeply rooted in progress, resilience, and unity. Alyansa is here to reinforce that commitment by advocating for policies that uplift Leyteños and sustain the province’s economic and social growth,” Tiangco said.

Alyansa aims to enhance infrastructure projects in Leyte, focusing on road network expansions, improved flood control measures, and port modernization to strengthen the province’s role as an economic gateway in Eastern Visayas.

Building on Leyte’s strong Marcos ties, the coalition aims to expand education, healthcare, and livelihood opportunities.

Alyansa is advocating for increased scholarship grants, skills training programs, and strengthened public health services to ensure the well-being of Leyte residents.
The coalition also vows to push for further investments in tourism and local industries, leveraging Leyte’s cultural and historical significance to attract businesses and generate more jobs.

“As a stronghold of the Marcos family, Leyte has always played a crucial role in national politics,” Tiangco pointed out.

“Alyansa is here to ensure that the province remains at the forefront of progress, with policies that empower communities and drive sustainable development,” he added.(PR)
