CATARMAN,Northern Samar-Officials and employees of DPWH-Northern Samar First DEO lined up to have their immunity against pneumonia and flu on Friday, January 24, 2025 as the vaccination program pushed through to foster health and wellness among its workforce.
In a statement, District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio said that the office requested the Provincial Health Office thru the National Immunization Program Provincial Coordinator for the inclusion of DPWH employees in said vaccination program to safeguard its employees from acquiring flu and pneumonia and their possible complications specially those field personnel who are more exposed to health risks.
A total of 190 DPWH-NSFDEO employees have successfully received both pneumonia and flu vaccines and were provided essential information about their benefits and potential side effects by the medical professionals present during the activity.
In an interview, the employees expressed gratitude for the initiative provided.
