Blind man torched to death inside his room in Northern Samar

ORMOC CITY– A fire suspected to be caused by faulty electrical wiring resulted in the death of a blind man from San Jose, Northern Samar.

Leo Gallanero,73, died inside his room in Barangay Balite of the said town, police chief Lt. Juditho Galit said.

It was learned that the Dec. 27 fire was reported at about 1:49 pm and was declared fire out at past 2 pm.

Galit said that the elderly stayed in a room outside the main house and been a bedridden for some time now.
