TACLOBAN CITY – A centenarian from Giporlos, Eastern Samar, has received a one-time cash gift of P100,000 along with a letter of felicitation from President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
Francisco Abuyen, who is from Barangay Coticot received the cash gift from the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).
Under Republic Act 10868 or the Centenarian Act of 2016, Filipinos who reach the age of 100 receive P100,000 as additional benefits and privileges.
