CATARMAN, Northern Samar– The Department of Public Works and Highways Northern Samar First District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSFDEO) participated in the Sports Fest Selection hosted by the Samar 1st District Engineering Office.
This event aimed to select athletes to represent their respective offices in the upcoming Sports Fest in Tacloban City, scheduled in June as part of the DPWH Region 8 anniversary celebration.
The selection saw enthusiastic participation from four engineering offices within the Samar side cluster: Northern Samar First District Engineering Office, Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office, Samar First District Engineering Office, and Samar Second District Engineering Office.
Participants competed in various sports disciplines, including basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, darts, and chess.
The participants showcased their talents and teamwork, making the selection process competitive and enjoyable. Those chosen will undergo further training and preparation to ensure they are ready to compete at the next level during the Sports Fest in Tacloban City.
The tryouts not only served as a selection process but also as a platform for fostering camaraderie and promoting healthy living through sports.
The DPWH-NSFDEO is proud of its athletes and looks forward to their stellar performance in the upcoming Regional Sports competition.
