CATARMAN, Northern Samar– In a vibrant display of unity and community spirit, Couples for Christ-ANCOP, in partnership with the Department of Public Works and Highways-Northern Samar First District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSFDEO),District Engineers League of the Philippines (DELP), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), University of Eastern Philippines (UEP) College of Veterinary Medicine, Knights of Columbus (K of C), Barangay Daganas officials, and ANCOP Village Kapitbahayan, celebrated the 126th Philippine Independence Day through an ANCOP Day of Service at ANCOP Village, Brgy. Daganas, Catarman, Northern Samar.

The event kicked off with an energizing Zumba session, bringing the community together and promoting health and wellness.

This was followed by a solemn flag-raising ceremony, symbolizing national pride and the enduring spirit of independence.

An oath-taking ceremony for the Home Owners Association was also held, marking a significant step towards fostering organized and empowered communities within ANCOP Village.

In line with their commitment to environmental stewardship, participants engaged in a tree-planting activity, contributing to the beautification and ecological balance of the area.
Additionally, a blood-typing service was offered, aiding in health awareness and emergency preparedness for the residents.

Further underscoring the spirit of service and solidarity, goods were distributed to the families of ANCOP Village, providing much-needed support to the community.

The event also included a Civil Action (CIVAC), offering various public services to the residents, reinforcing the collaborative effort to uplift and assist the community.

In his message, District Engineer Alvin A. Ignacio emphasized, “There is no better way to celebrate Independence Day than by serving our fellow citizens.”

He further underscored, “The flag-raising symbolizes that we can rise, we can elevate ourselves, and there is much we can achieve when we are united.”

This ANCOP Day of Service exemplifies the collective effort to honor Philippine Independence Day not only through celebration but also through meaningful acts of service that promote community development and resilience.
