NSSDEO, Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, N. Samar– The Department of Public Works and Highways – Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO), headed by District Engineer Charlito S. Carlobos and Assistant District Engineer Atty. Arthur Eric L. Sabong, has completed the remaining 960 meters unpaved farm-to- market road(FMR) along Barangay Lawaan to Barangay Ginagdanan situated in Sitio Patong, Brgy. Lawaan, San Roque, Northern Samar.
This farm-to-market road project in Barangay Lawaan, was funded under the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2023, and has an allocated amount of P16 million under Contract ID No. 23II0039, contracted by EZ JONES Construction, Inc.
DPWH-NSSDEO, Construction Section Chief, Engr. Gil D. Herrera, Jr., designated Project Engineer Ryan H. Gallano to supervise and monitor the project to ensure that it is in accordance with the Department’s quality standards, with the assistance of Project Inspector Engr. Ma. Luzyl P. Castillo, Resident Engineer Florando Emilio O. Moscare, and Material Engineer Justino E. Serafin, Jr. for the quality assurance of the materials.
The significance of this project is to give farmers an easy and smooth trade of farm products.
It also provides a safer and more efficient delivery of goods and services to the national highway in Brgy. Bantayan thereby increasing farmers revenue and dropping freight costs which will contribute to the town and province economic rates.
