ORMOC CITY-The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) was presented with a Certificate of Appreciation by faculty members from St. Aloysius Institute of Technology, Inc., Ormoc City, in recognition of its support for the school’s work immersion program.
Through this initiative, 10 senior high school students from the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) strand successfully completed 96 hours of work immersion at the DPWH Leyte 4th DEO from January 6-21, 2025.
The students were assigned to various sections, namely: Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Construction, and Planning and Design, where they gained hands-on experience and insights into infrastructure development.
The faculty members expressed their gratitude to District Engineer Rosita A. Tinawin and Chief of Administrative Section Ms. Glenda F. Quiñones for accommodating their students and providing them with valuable learning opportunities. They also conveyed their hope that the DEO will continue to support future batches of students in their work immersion programs. (PR)
