Solidifies as a PBBM political ally

TACLOBAN CITY – Eastern Samar Governor Ben Evardone has been named the chairman of the ruling Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) for Eastern Visayas.

Evardone’s appointment was announced during a gathering of PFP-affiliated leaders on September 16, 2024, in Manila, an event attended by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., the national chairman of the PFP.

The meeting is part of the party’s preparations for the 2025 midterm elections.

Gov. Evardone, who is seeking his third consecutive term in the upcoming elections, has a long-standing career in public service.

He previously served as governor of Eastern Samar from 2004 to 2013 and represented the province’s lone congressional district from 2010 to 2019.
