TACLOBAN CITY– Tingog party-list Rep.Jude Acidre made on Monday (May 13) his sponsor remark on his proposed bill on the Magna Carta of Children.
Acidre, who is also the deputy majority leader of the House of Representatives, stated that the Magna Carta of Children aims to create an environment conducive to the growth and welfare of Filipino children in all aspects of their lives.
“Let us be their advocates, their champions, and their allies in the pursuit of a brighter and more equitable future for all,” he added.
He called on his fellow legislators to support this comprehensive piece of legislation for children’s rights.
The Magna Carta of Children Bill, which builds on the recent enactment of significant child rights laws, was approved on Monday by the committee on the welfare of children of the Lower House.
