ORMOC CITY-A house was completely destroyed by fire in Barangay Combado, Maasin City on the evening of February 6, with authorities still investigating the cause of the blaze.
The house owner, identified only as alias “Vin,” 61, a jobless resident of the barangay, lost his home in the incident.

According to reports, the Maasin City Fire Station (BFP) and Maasin City Police Station (CPS) responded to the fire after receiving a report from a concerned citizen at around 8 pm.

Upon arrival, firefighters found the house already engulfed in flames and immediately conducted fire suppression operations. The fire was declared under control and fully extinguished by 8:20 pm.

Authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported, while the estimated damage was placed at P60,000.
