ORMOC CITY –The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Leyte 4th District Engineering Office (DEO) commenced the Women’s Month celebration with the theme: “Lipunang Patas sa Bagong Pilipinas; Kakayahan ng Kababaihan, Patutunayan!” on Monday, March 04, 2024.
The kick-off celebration unfolded during the flag ceremony, where the women of the office were presented with roses and treats as tokens of appreciation. During her speech, OIC-District Engineer Rosita A. Tinawin acknowledged the efforts of the women not only in their professional roles but also in fulfilling responsibilities at home, nurturing and supporting their families beyond work hours.
An hour-long Zumba session was also organized in the afternoon, promoting health and physical activity. Furthermore, a variety of wellness activities specially curated for the women in the office including haircuts, manicures, and pedicures, will be occurring every Friday throughout the month.
