ORMOC CITY– A high-value individual on the local police drug watchlist was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted by the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit of the Biliran Police Office and the Station Drug Enforcement Team.
The operation took place around 12:15 pm on Friday, September 20, in Barangay Enage, Biliran town, Biliran.
The police identified the suspect as “Warren,” 32, unemployed, and a resident of Brgy. Sanggalang and is listed as a high-value target on the Philippine National Police (PNP) drug watchlist.
During the operation, authorities recovered a sachet containing a white crystalline substance, suspected to be shabu, which had been purchased by an undercover officer for P1,000.
Upon conducting a body search, witnessed by law-mandated officials, officers recovered two additional sachets containing the same substance, along with a P1,000 bill used in the transaction.
Charges for violating Sections 5 (sale of illegal drugs) and 11 (possession of illegal drugs) under Article II of RA 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act, were filed at the City Prosecutor’s Office on Monday, September 16.
The suspect is currently detained at the Biliran Municipal Police Station.
