ORMOC CITY-An alleged drug peddler was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Naval, Biliran on Saturday (March 11) who was in possession of suspected shabu valued at P20,000.
Arrested in the sting operation at Barangay Calumpang, Naval town was Henry Rendora,48, a resident of Brgy. Pangpang, Calubian, Leyte.
The suspect was listed as a street-level individual in the drug watch list of the Calubian police.
During the conduct of the body search in front of barangay officials and a representative from the National Prosecutors Office, the searching cops recovered nine sachets containing suspected shabu, and several paraphernalias.
Charges of violations of Sections 5 and 11, of Article II of R.A.9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002, were filed against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the locked-up cell of Naval municipal police office.
