ORMOC CITY-A 29-year-old man from Tacloban City was arrested in a buy-bust operation on Wednesday (July 26) that resulted in the confiscation of alleged hydrochloride methamphetamine of shabu valued at P34,000.
Arrested by the elements of the city drug enforcement unit and the station drug enforcement team of the Tacloban city police office was John Mark Bagunas and a resident of Barangay 37(Reclamation area) at about 11:40 pm.
Seized from the suspect during the sting operation in Brgy. 91(Abucay) were nine sachets of suspected shabu with a commercial value of P34,000.
Charges of violations of Secs. 5 & 11 of Art. II of RA 9165, otherwise known as the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002, was filed by the CDEU against the suspect before the Office of the City Prosecutor’s Office. (ROBERT DEJON)
