ORMOC CITY-A man who was visiting his friend detained at the sub-provincial jail in Abuyog, Leyte was arrested after he was found in possession of suspected shabu.
The suspect, only identified as ‘Abu’, 38 was visiting a friend at the said jail facility on Tuesday (June 11) at about 4:30 pm, the Abuyog police said.
While undergoing the routinary inspection of his belongings, a jail guard discovered that the suspected shabu was placed inside a sliced bread.
Abu was immediately arrested by the assigned jail guard.
Charges of violation of section 5 (selling illegal drugs) of Article II of R.A.9165, the Comprehensive Law against Illegal Drugs of 2002 was filed at the Provincial Prosecutors Office here against the suspect who is temporarily detained at the Abuyog municipal police station. (ROBERT DEJON)
