ORMOC CITY– An old grudge was cited as the reason why a man stabbed another man while both were in a beach resort in Naval, Biliran on July 8 at about 2:50 pm/
Based on the report of the local police, both the suspect, only named as alias ‘Ren’,44, and the victim, known only as alias ‘Rex‘ where with their respective groups at Rosemarie Beach Resort in Barangay Atipolo for some fun.
The police said that the suspect, who was under the influence of liquor when he suddenly approached the victim and without any provocation stabbed the victim hitting his back.
Cooler heads from the group of suspects and the victim prevented more harm to the victim by leaping to the suspect and putting away his knife.
The victim was immediately brought to Biliran Provincial Hospital for immediate treatment, while the suspect was arrested by the responding PNP personnel who responded to the area.
Recovered from his possession was the bladed weapon used measuring 12 inches long from tip to handle without scabbard.
