NSSDEO, Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, Northern Samar-The construction of the By-Pass/Diversion Road in the municipality of Mapanas, Northern Samar which started last March 20, 2021 is now 46.15% accomplished and is expected to be completed on October 17, 2021.
This P47M road project is under contract with JUPA Construction aims to decongest the traffic along national road within the poblacion of the municipality.
The work items include the opening of 2,366 meters roadway and construction of reinforced concrete box culverts which aims to provide quality and safe infrastructure facility that connects and speed up movement of people, goods and services as well as connect regions by an integrated transport system.
The road opening will be of great significance to the road users giving them alternative routes to accommodate the increasing volume of vehicles passing the Pangpang-Palapag-Mapanas-
This project will also reduce traffic for vehicles carrying vast goods/products travelling through poblacion Mapanas thereby making travel more convenient and faster.
