Winner during this year’s travel mart
TACLOBAN CITY- City Mayor Cristina G. Romualdez congratulated the City Tourism Office for bringing home the best booth award together with Samar province during the 28th Philippine Travel Mart held Sept. 1-3, 2017 at SMX Convention Center, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City.
“Thank you Team Tacloban for bringing home the bacon,” the city mayor said.
“The Philippine Travel Mart is the right venue where we can show the country that vibrant Tacloban has indeed recovered from the 2013 devastation,” she added.
Mayor Romualdez has been supportive of tourism-related endeavors.
She likewise extended her congratulation to the province of Samar for having been chosen also together with Tacloban City for the same award in this year’s 28th Philippine Travel Mart.
The city tourism team was led by City Tourism Officer Celica Estudillo Quebec and tourism consultant Norma Morantte.
The city’s booth showcased the best of Tacloban City which includes its tourist destination sites, food delicacies, local indigenous products and the beautiful hospitable ladies of the city.
The Philippine Travel Mart is a travel trade exhibition where tourist destination sites in the country are being promoted and marketed for domestic inbound tourism organized by the Philippine Tour Operators Association Inc.
