TACLOBAN CITY- City Mayor Alfred Romualdez met with the president and CEO of Amicus KOI Solutions Philippines Inc., M Rhodora Santos and VRTY, Sydney Australia, CNN correspondent Makoi Popioca, and creative manager of Amicus KOI Solutions Joey Earle.
The group visited the city to implement a Microsoft project in Barangay 68, Anibong.
According to CEO Santos, they were invited to provide the virtual reality (VR) technology to support the postcards from disasters initiative to include VR in preparation for the 6th year anniversary onslaught of super typhoon ‘Yolanda’ on November 8, 2019.
The group will be capturing video shots from September 19 to 22, 2019.
They also came to present and introduce the VR and Microsoft Education Program to Mayor Romualdez and MIS head Randy Calahi.
This program is in alignment to the policy direction by the Education Secretary, Leonor Briones in Building the Digital Infrastructure Bridging the Education Divide.
