ORMOC CITY– A 16-year boy was arrested for carnapping in Naval, Biliran on Monday at about 9:15 pm.
The minor was arrested in sitio Bliss, Barangay Calumpang in the said town by local police and assisted by the provincial intelligence unit of the Biliran Provincial Police Office.
The minor was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated April 26, 2023 issued by Judge Luz Petilla Navarrete, presiding judge of Branch 16, Naval for carnapping.
The court recommended bail of P 300,000 for his temporary liberty.
The minor was immediately brought to the naval municipal police station for documentation and proper disposition where he is scheduled to be transferred to the local office of the Department of Social Welfare and Development for detention. (ROBERT DEJON)
