For me its like a paradigm shift, from having not so vibrant franchise players leading ably supported by a balanced back-up team with shooters and great passers, made them 89 % winners. This is the Cleveland Cavaliers, only a one time Champion, but a beauty in the Basketball Court these days.

Few Filipino ballers fans and non-fans alike recognizes the under the radar yet effective Cleveland Cavaliers. When LeBron James with the team and Kyrie Irving was the one that runs the ball around. But here and now, Cleveland Cavaliers is the top team in the National Basketball Association.

Dan Devine of Yahoo Sports had us on the title of his latest article saying Believe it or Not : The Cavaliers are the most dominant teams we have ever seen.

Devine adds :The Cavs are playing faster, generating more possessions (eighth in pace this season, up from 24th last season) and getting shots up more quickly (38.9% of their attempts have come in the first nine seconds of the shot clock, up from 32.3% last season). Cavs had won 39 and lost $4 which is just 10.25 % losing rate or 89.75% winning chance . Meaning for every 10 games Cavs are expected to loss just 1 and ¼.

Aside from LeBron James , I remember Zydraunas Ilgauskas , Larry Nance Sr. and Ron Harper are to me the old Cavs, now we have Donnovan Mitchel, Jarret Allen, Emoni Bates, Darius Garland, Mike Strus, Evan Mobley and whole lot of young guys, who are somehow true to the winged sneakers logo they wore, fast, furious and focused. The Mavericks was one of the most hyped team this year and watching the game with the Cavs, where the led was more than 20 points made me missed Luka Doncic. The whole game however showed that Cleveland is a better team this year.

Mitchell and Garland are the stars or the Sun of the team, it has been the two that seems to fight for dominance that triggers good results plus the defense that the team has seems to be effective than ever. While it may be true that LeBron and Kyrie were the one that catapulted the Cavs to Championship including the come from behind against the Golden State Warriors , the preset Cavaliers to me is the smartest and most balanced.

For me its like a paradigm shift, from having not so vibrant franchise players leading ably supported by a balanced back-up team with shooters and great passers, made them 89 % winners.

This right here maybe the prototype of all teams in sports , balanced, young, not so big in ego, experienced and a really effective coaching staff in Kenny Atkinson. Although, the Cavaliers had only one championship ring , this year maybe the year that they become NBA Champs.
