CATARMAN, Northern Samar-In a recent gathering initiated by the Liga ng mga Barangay Northern Samar Chapter, Board Member Arturo “On-on” Dubongco, Jr., welcomed esteemed guests Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Congressman Paul Daza from Northern Samar’s first Congressional District, and Congressman Harris Christopher Ongchuan for an engaging dialogue session.

Senator Bong Go, serving as the chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health, reiterated the significance of prioritizing and elevating the status of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs).

He highlighted the indispensable role BHWs play in advocating the primary health care approach and empowering health initiatives within communities.

Additionally, he emphasized the need for harmonizing benefits for barangay personnel to align with the values outlined in the Local Government Code.

During the dialogue, both Congressmen Ongchuan and Daza shared the priority programs and projects earmarked for their respective districts, shedding light on their commitment to advancing development in the province.

The event saw an active exchange of views and concerns from various Barangay Chairpersons to which the legislators provided responsive feedback, reflecting a mutual dedication to addressing community needs and fostering progress.
