NSSDEO, Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, N. Samar– – The construction of the multi-purpose building (evacuation center), Phase 1, in Barangay Anito, Gamay, Northern Samar with an appropriation of P8 million was completed last September 15, 2023.
Through the active leadership of Department of Public Works and Highways – Northern Samar Second District Engineering Office (DPWH-NSSDEO), District Engineer Charlito S. Carlobos and Assistant District Engineer Atty. Arthur Eric L. Sabong instructed Project Inspector Geric C. Yu and Resident Engineer Mark Eleovar C. Tenedero to support Project Engineer Bryan M. Fortes for the monitoring of work progress and making sure that the project is in accordance with the Department plans and specifications.
Moreover, ANLE Construction carried out the construction works as stated in Contract ID No. 23II0028. The phase 1 construction of 28m x 16m covered court includes removal of some existing slab on the grade of the court for columns, reinforced concrete and finishing works.
The full completion of this evacuation center project aims to provide immediate and temporary shelter for the residents of Barangay Anito who will be evacuated or displaced from their homes during emergency situations such as typhoons, floods, and other climate disturbances, as well as outbreak of illnesses and diseases that pose an imminent threat to life and property.
