NSSDEO, Brgy. Burabud, Laoang, Northern Samar – On March 7, 2025, the Association of Government Accountants of the Philippines (AGAP), Inc., conducted a technical seminar on the guidelines and procedures in relation to physical count of Property, Plant, and Equipment (PPE), held at DPWH Region IV-B Covered Court, EDSA, Quezon City.
The event commenced with a warm greeting from Ms. Ester A. Aldana, President of AGAP, who conveyed her heartfelt appreciation to all attendees. This was followed by Ms. Sofia C. Gemora, AGAP Auditor, who introduced the esteemed speaker – Mr. Alijandro F. Millete II, State Auditor IV. Afterwards, Mr. Millete discussed the crucial topic of the one-time cleansing of all the property, plant, and equipment account balances of DPWH. The seminar concluded smoothly with a closing remarks from Ms. Marichu A. Palafox, Executive Vice-President of AGAP.
The objectives of the technical seminar are to identify PPE items available at the station, disposition for non-existing or missing PPE items, and for the one-time cleansing of PPE account balances of the DPWH.
The seminar attracted a strong turnout from accountants, administrative officers, and supply officers representing Regional and District Engineering Offices of DPWH. NSSDEO attendees were Ms. Michelle G. Suan, Chief, Finance Section, Ms. Imelda A. Dolo, Supply Officer II, and Ms. Glea C. Gloton, Administrative Assistant I.
