ORMOC CITY- One of the most wanted persons in Samar was finally by the law enforcers.
Arrested was Pampilo Labong, Sr.,70, and resident of Barangay Calundan, San Jorge town.
Labong, who is facing a string of homicide cases, was arrested by virtue of a warrant, was arrested in Brgy. Blanca Aurora, also in San Jorge, at about 12:10 pm last Sept. 29.
San Jorge chief of police, Capt. Michael Ray Cañete said that the cases filed against Labong were in relation to his being an alleged former member of the communist armed group, the New People’s Army.
The warrant, issued by Judge Maricar Lucero of Branch 41 in Gandara town, Samar, recommended P72,000 bail bond for each of the 10 frustrated homicide charges filed against the suspect.
Labong was brought to San Jorge Municipal Police Station for proper disposition prior turn- over to the court of origin. (ROBERT DEJON)
