TACLOBAN CITY- The victim was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician when he was brought to the hospital due to the injuries after being stabbed by his own son.
The victim was identified as alias “Larry”, 48, farmer and a resident of Barangay Limba Lapaz Leyte.
The suspect was identified as alias “John” a resident of Brgy. Piliway, also of the same town.
According to the police investigation, the grisly incident took place last April 28 during the fiesta celebration of Brgy. Limba.
The victim and the suspect were drinking at the house of a village councilor when they got into a heated argument that prompted the suspect to take his “itak” and stab the victim in different parts of the body.
The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the police and was accompanied by the barangay officials.
