TACLOBAN CITY- Palo Mayor-elect Remedios ‘Matin’ Petilla said that she has still more to offer to her constituents reason why decided to make a political comeback.
Petilla earlier made a political leave in 2019 and gave way to her daughter-in-law, France Anne, to run for mayor of the town.
The younger Petilla is the wife of returning Governor Carlos Jericho Petilla.
According to the town mayor-elect, she wants to improve Palo considering it is one of the fastest-growing areas in Leyte with many big investors expected to do business in the future.
For one, the town’s infrastructure needs to adapt to the economic pace of the town, Petilla said.
She added that she plans to expand further the commercial area of the town, especially within the new provincial capitol complex.
Petilla said that prospective investors could be located in this proposed commercial site.
Meantime, the new mayor said that while she will have new projects and programs to be implemented in the next three years, she assured the outgoing town mayor that she will also adopt her good projects.
