
TACLOBAN CITY – The Samar Police Provincial Office (SPPO) launched Project “LOVE” (Law Enforcement Officers Volunteers for Education) on February 17, 2025, at Camp Lucban, Barangay Maulong in Catbalogan City.
Led by Samar Police Provincial Director Col. Antonietto Eric Mendoza, Project LOVE is a scholarship program aimed at providing educational assistance to aspiring future police officers, reinforcing the organization’s commitment to community development and youth empowerment.
The program’s initial beneficiaries are Jester Nacional from Brgy. Dolores, San Sebastian and Kyre Zadrix Doinog from Brgy. Basud, Calbayog City and both students of Samar College in Catbalogan City.
In his message, Col. Mendoza emphasized the importance of education and community collaboration in shaping the next generation of law enforcement officers.
A memorandum of understanding (MOU) between the Samar Police Provincial Office (PPO) and Samar College formalized the implementation of this program.
Representing Samar College, Roque Villarin, external communications director, in his speech, expressed the school’s gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with the Samar PPO, emphasizing the role of education in fostering responsible and service-oriented leaders.
