ORMOC CITY– Police here reported that a man earlier found dead has been identified by a relative.
Lt. Petronio Piangco, chief of police station 4, this city, said that the victim was identified as Erwin Ababa, 42, and a resident of Barangay Margen, this city.
The dead body of Ababa was found in Upper Coob of Brgy. Libertad by a woman who was on her way to attend a mass on Wednesday (Dec.21), the police officer said.
Piangco said that the aunt of Ababa was able to recognize him through the yellow-colored t-shirt that he was wearing.
It was learned from him that the man was arrested in a buy-bust operation on August 7 of this year but was able to post bail.
The victim had a bullet wound in his head with nine sachets of suspected shabu found on his pocket.
