TACLOBAN CITY– The schools division here in the city has a new head, albeit in an officer-in-charge capacity.
Named as the new head of the city schools division was Sherlita Palma who took her post effective Jan.5 before Evelyn Fetalvero, the regional director of the Department of Education.
Prior to her appointment as Tacloban city schools division superintendent, Palma was the assistant city schools division of Calbayog City.
Her appointment was due to the retirement of Judella Lumpas.
Palma thanked all those who were present in her installation and asked for God’s guidance in her new journey.
Also named as assistant schools division superintendent was Henrietta Managbanag who took her post on Jan.17.
She replaced Jaime Leon Cardona who has been assigned to Maasin City.
Managbanag was formerly the assistant schools division of Southern Leyte.
