TACLOBAN CITY– Regular and casual employees including job order workers at the Tacloban city government are sure to have a Merry Christmas.
This after the Sangguniang Panlungsod approved a resolution on Thursday (Dec.14) appropriating over P83 million for the granting of extra bonuses for the 2,860 workers.
The 643 regular employees are to receive P50,000 for their cash gift while the 318 casuals are to receive P32,000.
The job order workers, numbering 1,697, and the 202 contractual workers are entitled to receive P11,000.
All elected officials, led by Mayor Alfred Romualdez, are also to receive P50,000 as their cash gift, sourced from the city government’s savings.
Also included to receive cash gifts are all elected barangay officials of the city at P3,000 each.
It was learned that the cash gifts would be released next week, or before Christmas Day.
