Tacloban City – The Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) joins the celebration of the National Disability Rights Week, formerly known as National Disability Prevention and Rehabilitation Week. The celebration is anchored on the theme “Promoting Inclusion: Celebrating Abilities and Advocating Access.” This week-long event highlights the unique abilities of individuals with disabilities and advocates for access to ensure they have equal opportunities.
The Chief of various sections, along with District Engineer Rebecca G. Yuse, gathered to demonstrate their united support for promoting inclusivity and celebrating the unique abilities of each individual. This collective effort not only promotes a culture of inclusion but also advocates for equal opportunities and access for everyone.
District Engineer Yuse emphasized that by promoting inclusivity, we help individuals with special needs feel that they belong and are accepted by society. “Let’s create a safe space for these individuals by embracing inclusivity and making them feel that they are not excluded, and that no one will be left behind.”
