TACLOBAN CITY– Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) secures 18th spot in the top 20 DEOs nationwide who demonstrated exemplary performance in managing the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Land-based Equipment Fleet in Calendar Year 2024.
Securing a spot in the top 20 among 260 DEOs, the office achieved outstanding ratings in equipment availability, utilization, and its preventive-corrective maintenance (PM-CM) ratio, in addition to demonstrating complete documentation through the acquisition of a DPWH Property Code Number and full audit compliance, along with excellent submission reports.
The recognition was made during the CY 2025 BOE-EMD-ESU Coordination Meeting, held on March 26-27, 2025, at the Iloilo Grand Hotel, Iloilo City. Themed “Gear Up, Unleash your Fuel: Strengthening Policies, Integrating Solutions, and Driving Progress,” the event gathered DPWH equipment engineers from across the country to discuss strategic plans, risk management, and policy implementation.
Attendees from TCDEO included Engr. Mikkael Lemuel Sibayan and Engr. Mark Jovelle De Guzman, who actively participated in the event’s proceedings. In his statement, Engr. Sibayan said, “This achievement is a testament to our dedication to efficient resource management and operational excellence. We will continue to uphold high standards and contribute to the overall progress of infrastructure development in our region.”
With this milestone, TCDEO sets a benchmark for excellence in DPWH fleet management, reinforcing its role in advancing infrastructure development in Eastern Visayas and nationwide.
