TACLOBAN CITY – Reps. Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre of the Tingog party-list group and House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez led in the roll out of new ambulances for Eastern Visayas last June 28 at the Madison Park Hotel this city in partnership with the Department of Health (DOH-8) headed by regional director, Dr. Exuperia Sabalberino.
These new ambulances will greatly enhance the accessibility of healthcare services and emergency medical response across the region, Rep. Acidre said.
This initiative underscores the collaborative efforts of DOH Region 8 and Tingog party-list in putting the health and well-being of Filipinos paramount.
The beneficiaries of the new units were the rural health units of San Miguel and Pastrana, both in Leyte; San Policarpo, Arteche, and Maydolong, all in Eastern Samar.
“Accessible healthcare continues to be a challenge Tingog is committed to solve. This turnover is a step forward in ensuring Filipinos receive essential government services. We are determined to deliver timely medical assistance within reach, not just for the people of Eastern Visayas, but to all Filipinos” Acidre said.
“Tingog party-list remains dedicated to advancing healthcare services and infrastructure in the region, continuously striving to meet the needs of the community through various initiatives and partnerships,” he added.
