TACLOBAN CITY-A man was shot by an unidentified suspect in Barangay Naparaan, Salcedo, Eastern Samar, on Wednesday (May 15).
The victim, identified as a 37-year-old resident known by the alias ‘Andy’, was attending a fiesta in Salcedo when the incident occurred.
According to information from Police Regional Office VIII, Andy was resting by a store when the shooter approached to purchase a cigarette.
The suspect then shot the victim three times. As Andy tried to move away, he was shot once more in the stomach.
The victim was rushed to Salcedo Doctors Hospital, while the suspect fled north on a motorcycle.
When questioned by the police, Andy stated that he did not know the shooter.
The case is still under investigation.
