CALBAYOG CITY– Over a thousand student journalists from various schools across the region participated in the 2024 Regional School Press Conference held here on May 1-4, 2024.
The event, led by the Department of Education Regional Office 8 (DepEd-8), with the support of the city government of Calbayog City the 13 school divisions in the region, aims to demonstrate an understanding of journalism through skilled execution in various platforms, provide learners’ opportunities to use the skills learned in campus journalism for their future careers, and foster camaraderie and enrich learning experiences through healthy and friendly competitions.
The regional winners will represent Eastern Visayas at the national press conference slated in Cebu City.
